“Summer’s here and the time is right for dancing in the streets!” ~ William "Mickey" Stevenson & Marvin Gaye
Summer has arrived and it’s beautiful in PA! I’ve been attending Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) for Electronic Engineering Technology (EET). I’m studying Psychology and Algebra and I’m actually enjoying it! -I never thought I’d ever say that about math.
Music has been a little slow this year, but I haven’t been on the phone or the web trying to contact anyone for any gigs either. I’m always looking for an agent or good management, so if you see, hear, or know of someone send them my way. Mostly I’ve just been concentrating on getting the word out though Relix Magazine, Facebook, Twitter, various online music stores and my web site. I might get bored and start to pick up the phone again for bookings this Fall, but I wouldn’t count on anything until maybe next Summer… maybe. Getting through school right now is my #1 concern.
I did work up good versions of,” Tennessee Jed” and, “Mountains of the Moon” on piano this spring, and I’m working on an interesting tune that uses some odd chord changes. I’ve also been experimenting with some blues jams using my acoustic guitar. I got the idea from an acoustic Little Feat album where they’re combining electric bass and piano with acoustic guitars. It’s sounds kinda neat!
It’s festival season, so shut down your computer and get outside!!!
Have fun and be safe!!!
