AARON FERGUSON: LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY 11/22/08
I’ll be performing at the Merkin Concert Hall at Kaufman Center in New York City, NY, November 22, 2008. Tickets are on sale now and may be purchased through the concert web site http://kaufman-center.org/merkin-concert-hall/event/aaron-ferguson Tickets are $25.00. Show time is 8:00pm.

ALL GOOD:
Wow, what a summer! The All Good Festival in WV was sure tricked out this year. How about the Chinese motif? Kudos to Tim Walther for the overall brilliant production. Phil Lesh ripped out a, “Golden Road to Unlimited Devotion” that truly exemplified the “San Francisco Sound.” No one has heard that tune since the 60’s! I was covering some ground there, and at the other following events, passing out cards with Mermaids on them and Chinese Dragon stickers. I hope you got one!

GATHERING OF THE VIBES:
My car blew up at the Gathering of the Vibes in CT! My alternator finally gave out just as I reached my campsite. It all worked out though, and the towing co. charged me a fair price. They even brought my car back to the festival. The New Riders of the Purple Sage were good, as was Bill Kreutzman’s band. Phil was a little off that night, but was hammering out some good tunes while everyone danced in the mud created by the small hurricane that blew through earlier in the day. I got to meet and talk with an old acquaintance Phil Kutno, met my contact Liv from Relix, and ran into the brilliant artist Mike DuBois who designed the artwork for the festival program.

RAT DOG & THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND:
I hit 2 shows with Rat Dog and the Allman Bros. Camden, NJ and Hershey, PA. Camden was OK, but at the Hershey show Bob finally played St. Stephen. I’d only waited 21 years to hear that song live from the Dead, or a member there of. They also played Estimated Prophet, one of my all time favorites. The Allman’s were pretty good too. I still miss Dickey Betts, but from what I’ve heard they’ve had problems with him since the 70’s. I wish they could patch that up somehow. Dickey Betts is one of my favorite rock & roll guitar players. Warren and Derrick did a fine job.

THE GRATEFUL DEAD HOUR
I’m scheduled to be a sponsor for 4 weeks of the Grateful Dead Hour with David Gans starting sometime in October. Be listing to the program for info about my upcoming concert in New York.
